President: Joshua Roh (TES)

Greetings! I am Joshua, a rising senior originally from Korea, studying at Taipei European School. It's a pleasure to serve in the Historical Crisis committee alongside Alex and Jason (my favourite committee type!) One of the first conferences I attended was DISMUN II, and I think that was the point when I decided I would do this activity for the rest of my high school career. It’s great to be able to return as a chair and pass this passion on. I will work my utmost to make MUN as transformative and valuable as it has been for me. My inbox is always open, and messages are always welcomed at joshua.rohB2026@stu.tes.tp.edu.tw or @rohhyunj on Instagram. See you at the conference!

Crisis Director: Alex Lin (IIS)

Greetings! I'm Alex Lin from I-Shou International School, and I’ll be entering my junior year during this upcoming DISMUN. It is my greatest honor to serve as the Crisis Director for this year’s DISMUN conference. Model United Nations, definitely Crisis committees, has always been one of my favorite hobbies. For this year’s DISMUN Crisis, Joshua, Jason, and I have put a great deal of effort into designing the committee. Although the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Cold War are far from where we are right now, we all believe that there are still many valuable lessons to be learned from them. The world we live in today bears many similarities to the 1960s: societies are divided, and humanity is kept being driven into global challenges and ideological rifts by ourselves. To all delegates: prepare to navigate this crisis, and aim to bring home not only solutions, but also some insights and growth. I look forward to seeing everyone at DISMUN this year. Thank you!

Deputy President: Jason Tsai (DIS)

Greetings! My name is Jason Tsai, a rising sophomore at Dominican International School, Class of 2028. I am honored to serve as the Deputy President of the Historical Crisis Committee for DISMUN VIII this year. I began my MUN journey at the start of high school, and it has equipped me with valuable skills I could gain nowhere else. Chairing at my home conference makes this experience especially meaningful. Outside of MUN, I enjoy following current events, cycling, taking walks, listening to music, and catching up on sleep. As your chair, I understand how much it takes to have the courage to speak up as a new delegate, since I have been one not too long ago. Please feel free to email us if you have any questions. I hope DISMUN VIII will be a memorable experience for you!

Crisis Director: Iris Yeh (HWIS)

Hi, I’m Iris Yeh, a senior at Hong Wen International School and a committed member of the MUN community for over four years. Through countless conferences, I’ve come to realize that MUN is what we make of it—it can be a space full of meaningful dialogue and growth, or simply surface-level formality. For me, MUN has always been about more than debate and resolutions; it’s a platform where I found my confidence, developed leadership, and built lasting connections. As a chair, I hope to create a space where delegates feel supported, challenged, and inspired—just like how I once felt guided by exceptional chairs. In this years DISMUN crisis committee I wish delegates could be inspired the way I was as I navigate through my MUN journey.
