Emily Lien - MUN Mugshot (final) - Emily

Chair: Emily Lien (IIS)

Greetings! I am Emily Lien, a rising junior enrolled at I-Shou International School (IIS), and it is my utmost honor to be serving as your Head Chair of GA6 for DISMUN VIII. Ever since I started my MUN journey in Grade 6, I soon fell in love with the intense debate, the excitement of seeing delegates raising their placards to defend their country stances, and to realize that MUN is also a platform to form friendships that will follow you for the rest of your school life. DISMUN VIII will be my 27th conference and seventh time chairing. Feel free to contact me at @_emilyyl.21 or emily.lien@iis.kh.edu.tw if you have any questions or concerns regarding the debate, and I will do my best to help. Apart from MUN, I also enjoy reading, writing, and watching anime. I am looking forward to seeing you all in November!

Co-Chair: James Chu (IBSH)

Hello delegates! I’m James Chu, a sophomore from the International Bilingual School at Hsinchu Science Park, and I’m incredbily thrilled to serve as co-chair for GA6. As a passionate and avid MUN delegate, DISMUN would be my 2nd time chairing and my 7th conference. Throughout these years, I have been inspired by countless chairs and secretariats, and I hope to bring that “legacy” forward. Head Chair Emily and I are committed to helping you broaden your perspectives and embrace the MUN spirit of diplomacy and problem-solving, which are skills that we hope you would carry on beyond the conference. If you're new to MUN, don't worry. I was in the same position just a few years ago, and now I’m here to help you navigate the experience. Please feel free to DM me on Instagram (@jameschu235) or send me an email if you have any questions. See you in November!
