President: Coral Hazeldine (HIS)

Dear DISMUN VI Delegates,

I am Coral Hazeldine, a Junior from Hsinchu International School, and it is my utmost pleasure to
serve as your President of the Security Council. DISMUN VI marks my 12th conference and fourth time
chairing.

Personally, MUN is like nothing I have ever experienced. The remarkable mix of the eerily
intimidating debate rooms, where I have had my fair share of embarrassing moments, and the welcoming
community in which I have met some of the coolest people excites me. More importantly, the opportunities MUN gives me keeps me are what keep me so committed to it; it provides me endless chances to educate myself. Outside of the committee room, if I am not stressing out about my APs and GPA, you will probably find me out with my friends, exercising, or online shopping with money I do not have.

If you have any queries, however small they may be, you know where to find me. I know how enriching a positive MUN experience can be, so I will do everything

I can as a chair to ensure DISMUN VI will be an unforgettable conference.
See you all very soon :)

Deputy President: Angelina Chen (DIS)

Honourable delegates,

My name is Angelina Chen, a freshman at Dominican International School, and it is my utmost pleasure and honour to serve as your deputy president for this year’s security council.  From starting my MUN journey from a quiet and shy delegate in seventh grade, I am now glad to be the one assisting the same quiet delegate that I have been three years ago.

MUN, to me, is not just a 2 day conference for tireless debate, but a forum between the future leaders to discuss global issues, innovating ideas, and the future of the world. Through these years of MUN, I can not help but look back at the significance it played in my life. It has nurtured the skills needed in academic environments and further expanded my knowledge in global issues.

Besides MUN, I also enjoy playing games, hanging out with friends and playing volleyball. I hope that MUN will not be just a debate activity, but a community where you can make friends with like-minded individuals.

I look forward to seeing you all in March!
