Fr. Aniedi Okure
Permanent Delegate to the United Nations and Director of “Dominicans for Justice and Peace”
The DISMUN team is honored to have Fr. Aniedi Okure as the keynote speaker for the fifth annual session of DIS Model United Nations. Fr. Okure has worked in numerous countries around the world, including Nigeria, the DRC, and the US, in teaching, ministry, and aid for immigrant communities. He has also taught at various universities in the United States and Nigeria. Apart from religious work, he has also served as the Executive Director of the Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN) and as a fellow for the Institute for Policy Research at the Catholic University of America. Currently, he is the General Promoter of Justice and Peace and Permanent Representative of the UN in Geneva. Fr. Okure is a forthright advocate for issues such as human rights, anti-corruption, and social justice.
